About the event

Habitat Walk: The southwest corner of Lake Roland park is a mix of pine forest and serpentine barrens. The barrens (meadows) are a globally rare ecosystem because specialized plants thrive in the rocky, metallic soil. Join Peter Lev (Chair, Environmental Committee, Lake Roland Nature Council) to explore the birds, plants and butterflies of this unusual site. We'll meet at the parking lot behind the Home and Hospital School, 6229 Falls Rd, Baltimore 21209. Moderate difficulty, includes some rocky trails. Trip limited to 10; must register with Peter Lev, plev@comcast.net or text to 410-952-9426.

Leader: Peter Lev, plev@comcast.net or text to 410-952-9426
